Internet Explorer Script Error Fix

When you view a web page or print from Internet Explorer you may receive a JavaScript error, such as the one shown below. This article will explain how to fix these Internet Explorer script errors. There are several things you can try in order to resolve this error.
Disable Script Debugging
If the Internet Explorer script error occurs on one web site and it is working properly you can probably just ignore the error by disabling script debugging in Internet Explorer.

In windows XP:
- Click on the Start button.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Internet Options.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Under Browsing check both of the disable script debugging options if not already checked.
In windows 7:
- Click on the Windows button in the left hand corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Network and Internet | Internet Options.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Under Browsing check both of the disable script debugging options if not already checked.
Delete temporary Internet files and cookies

In windows XP:
- Click on the Start button in the left hand corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Internet Options.
- Under the General tab click delete.
- Click Delete again.
- Restart Internet Explorer.
In windows 7:
- Click on the Windows button in the left hand corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Network and Internet | Internet Options.
- Under the General tab click delete.
- Click Delete again.
- Restart Internet Explorer.
Reset Internet Explorer
If the Internet Explorer script error only occurs logged into your user account then try to reset Internet explorer to its default settings.

In windows XP:
- Click on the Start button in the left hand corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Internet Options.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Click the Reset button at the bottom.
- Check Delete personal settings.
- Click Reset.
- Restart Internet Explorer.
In windows 7:
- Click on the Windows button in the left hand corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Network and Internet | Internet Options.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Click the Reset button at the bottom.
- Check Delete personal settings.
- Click Reset
- Restart Internet Explorer
Run Windows update
Updates to Internet explorer may help resolve the IE script error problem.
In windows XP:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Go to the website: http://update.microsoft.com.
- Click Express.
- Click Install Updates.
- Restart computer when finished.
In windows 7:
- Click on the Windows button in the left hand corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click System and Security | Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates.
- Then Click Install updates.
- Restart computer when finished.
If you get the IE script error when printing:
- Try the above steps first, if you still cannot print continue to step 2.
- Disconnect your printer cable connected to your PC and turn off the printer.

- Remove the printer device listed.
- Reboot your computer and check for malware.
- Download the latest printer driver via Windows update.

- Click on Optional update.
- Check for Printer driver and check if listed.
- Click OK and install updates.
- If there is no updated driver via windows update or you still get the error, download the latest printer driver from the manufacturer’s web site.
Other things to check for:
- If you have a firewall installed disable it to see if it is blocking the script from running.
- If you have an anti-virus program installed it could be scanning your Temporary Internet Files or Download directory. Disable the real time protection or exclude these folders.
- Update the video card driver, it could be outdated.
- Update the DirectX component, it could also be outdated.
